Total Technology Helps Food Bank Give Back

January marks the sixth month of partnership between the Food Bank of Northeast Georgia and Total Technology Solutions (TTS). As the Food Bank looks forward to its upcoming expansion, Total Technology will continue to provide free technology support and hardware to an organization which serves 14 counties and thousands of Northeast Georgia citizens.

“The Food Bank is a large organization with multiple locations; they were in need of some system maintenance that would make their operations run smoother. We saw this need and knew that we should do everything we could to help them continue their service to our community,” said TTS Owner Phillip Cofer.

Since July, TTS has helped modernize the Food Bank by upgrading firewalls, setting up a cloud backup solution, consolidating server setups, and integrating remote offices. TTS has also donated computers, network cabling, printers, and general IT support to the Food Bank.

“They do a lot of good for fellow locals, especially around the holiday season,” said Cofer. “We try to help out the community by donating to the Food Bank; if their offices are running quickly and efficiently, they can do even more for those throughout Athens and throughout Northeast Georgia.”

As the charity begins its expansion project, TTS looks forward to its continued support of the charity throughout the holidays and into the new year. With plans already in motion to continue upgrades to the Food Bank offices, TTS is exited to continue its community service efforts and help benefit the Athens area.
